Euro-Med Movement Chairman Michael Zammit
Tabona and Core Coordinator Joe Mifsud held talks with three British MEPs,
Richard Howitt, Robert Evans and Eluned Morgan, currently in Malta on EP
business.
Chairman of
the European Parliament group concerned with disability matters, Richard Howitt
discussed issues on how to involve and promote active participation of persons
with disability within a more inclusive society.
The
conservation and special attention of the Mediterranean Sea was later
highlighted by the Euro-Med Movement, together with Eluned Morgan – a Welsh MEP,
member of the Regional Committee of the European Parliament.
MEP Robert
Evans, hailing from England’s Capital, referred to sports issues and the current
London bid to host the Olympic Games in 2102.
All three
Members of the European Parliament acknowledged the work carried out by the
Euro-Med Movement, and the professional way in which the Movement conveys its
political message, most recently the position in favour of the EU Constitutional
Treaty.
