active in Youth Programme - In
view of the 1st of February 2006 deadline, the Euro-Med Movement has been active
together with its foreign partners in applying for grants under the YOUTH
Programme of the European Commission. Partnerships have been established with
NGOs from Germany, Turkey, Slovakia, Slovenia and all over the Euro-Med region.
The Movement will also be applying to host a training course in October 2006.

Elections Observation -
Euro-Med
Movement Coordinator Joe Mifsud is currently in the Middle-East as an observer
during the Palestinian Elections that are due on January 25th. Mr Mifsud has
previously visited the region in January 2005 also as an observer, then
Presidential Elections following the death of Yasser Arafat.

Corporate Image launched -
Following months of intensive work and preparation, the Euro-Med Movement
launched its new corporate image during a press conference held at the Fortina
Spa Resort. Chairman Michael Zammit Tabona and General Coordinator Joe Mifsud
then gave out details on the upcoming seminar to be held between the 15th and
20th of November: Aspects of Social Tension in a Multi-Cultured Europe.

World leaders meeting at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 14-16
September 2005, agreed to take action on a number of global challenges.
Primarily, the high-level plenary meeting discussed world development;
terrorism;
peacebuilding, peacekeeping and peacemaking; responsibility to protect; human
rights, democracy and rule of law; management reform; environment; international
health; humanitarian assistance; and updating the UN Charter. The outcome fact sheet

receives funding from the National YOUTH Agency -
In view of the upcoming seminar 'Aspects of Social Tension in a Multi-Cultured
Europe' funded by the YOUTH Programme of the European Commission, the Maltese
National YOUTH Agency presented a cheque to the Euro-Med Movement in a
presentation seminar held in Valletta.

Movement Coordinator, Mr Joe Mifsud has been recently nominated by the German
Embassy in Malta, as the first Maltese representative to participate in the
European Young Leaders Conference, which was held in Istanbul - Turkey.

Movement active within the YOUTH Programme - The Euro-Med Movement is
currently very active within the YOUTH Programme of the European Commission.
With over 35 members in action during the past few days, the EMM is taking part
in projects held in Spain, Palestine, Poland, France and Turkey. So far in 2005,
the EMM has already taken part in 16 projects, whilst another 10 are scheduled
for the upcoming months!

a Meeting with Yossi
Beilin and Yasser Abed Rabbo, the Euro-Med
Movement reaffirmed its support towards the Geneva initiative. The Movement is
linking with the Geneva accord website

November Project Submitted to YOUTH Agency
As a required procedure the formal application of the November seminar, has been
submitted to the Maltese National YOUTH Agency for review.

Record 121 Applications
The Euro-Med Movement notes an impressive and encouraging response from 33
Euro-Mediterranean countries, totalling in all, 121 Youth NGO's applying to take
part in the Seminar projected for November 2005 in Malta.
